Transported worked in partnership with artsNK, InspireDance, Boston Borough Council, South Holland District Council, Leisure in the Community, Lincolnshire County Council (Positive Futures), Trusthouse, South Holland Centre and Magna Vitae to bring subsidised street dance sessions to South Holland and Boston Borough districts.
The Dance Factor street dance sessions are part of the legacy of Dance Factor Lincolnshire 2015, a large scale project which provided 10 weeks of free street dance sessions for young people aged 11-18 across the region last year. The project culminated with a Grand Final in Lincoln in May 2015, with the winning groups going on to perform at Lincoln Castle’s Magna Party.
The Dance Factor Party 2016 was a celebration of all the groups that have continued running since the competition. New young people were encouraged to join the sessions for their chance to perform at The Dance Factor Party 2016, which took place at The Embassy Theatre, Skegness on Saturday 27 February 2016.
Two sessions are continuing on in 2016 at South Holland Centre in Spalding (Mondays at 5pm) and Fenside Community Centre in Boston (Wednesdays at 6.30pm).
