Award winning artist Joseph Hillier has been commissioned by Transported in partnership with the Spalding and District Civic Society to create a public art work for the town. The piece will be inspired by Spalding’s market town heritage and will be made up of a series of sculptures in locations throughout the town centre. The completed work will be unveiled in December.

This commission is part of Transported’s ‘On Your Doorstep’ strand which brings public artworks to unexpected places nominated by members of the local community.

Joseph Hillier will be giving a free public talk about his work as an artist at the South Holland Centre at 7pm on Tuesday 14 July.  The talk will offer a chance to ask questions and find out more about the project and includes a wine reception.  If you would like to attend, please RSVP to
