A half-term dance workshop for both disabled and non-disabled people as part of the 11 Million Reasons to Dance programme.  Create a dance inspired by a famous dance movie such as Footloose, Step Up or The Red Shoes.

The workshop involves working with Laura Dajao, who is a professional disabled dance artist, performer and choreographer based in London. As part of 11 Million Reason’s To Dance’s national tour that ends in March this year, Laura (who dances with Casson & Friends and Stopgap) is visiting the South Holland Centre throughout February half term as an artist in residence. The Move to the Movies workshop will be a wonderful experience for dancers wishing to improve their dance skills, learn dances to famous songs from the movies and explore what it was like for Laura who starred in the 11 Million Reasons to Dance Photography exhibition.

The session will be taught by Laura with the assistance of artsNK’s & Transported’s Community Dance Artists Emma and Emily, who teach widely across Lincolnshire.

Carers welcome to take part.
