A fun and free lantern-making workshop at the Boston Guildhall with the Curosity Creators.

All ages, abilities and languages are welcome to come and make lanterns that will be a part of the procession of the Boston Illuminate Festival.

Previous years have seen candles, seagulls and even a replica of the Mayflower to celebrate Boston’s connection to the Pilgrim’s journey. This year will be based around flora and fauna.

The sessions will take place on Saturday 24th November at 10:30am and at 12pm.

Lantern makers are invited to walk with their lantern in the parade! Makers will meet the Curiosity Creators and Transported team on parade day 29th November at 5pm in Boston Central Park.

Please book your place in advance!

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
