Zaneta Belasicova is going to create a series of banner artworks to line the route from Boston Train Station to the footbridge, and you are invited to help shape the direction these banners take by coming to two family friendly and free drop-in creative workshops.

The banners will tell stories of our local area through drawing, simple stencils, cut out shapes, painting or writing. The artworks and ideas created will be digitally scanned and incorporated into the finished banners.

From Station to Stump is a Transported project working with an extensive group of stakeholders to create artworks for the town. The partners working on this project include: Boston Borough Council, Boston in Bloom, Lincolnshire County Council Highways, University of Lincoln, St Botolphs Church and Boston Chamber of Commerce.

The first art work, currently under construction, will be a unique garden created by Jeni Cairns, an RHS Gold Medal winning garden designer from Peterborough, in the St Botolph’s Bridge West Walkway area (near the B&M supermarket).

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
