Last year, sound artist Rebecca Lee visited a number of villages in South Holland as part of her Outside Broadcast Project, listening to and recording the sounds made. These sounds have included conversations, stories, machinery, walks, readings, music and places of work. Villages that have often be thought to be sleepy and quiet are full of noise!
After gathering together a vast library of sounds from Holbeach St Johns, Quadring, Moulton Chapel, Moulton Seas End, Bicker and Sutton St James, Rebecca put together an audio documentary for each of the villages. These audio documentaries were then broadcast on South Holland’s very own radio station, Tulip FM.
