Interested in Transported’s Public Art Strand?  Why not take advantage of this great opportunity to take part in free workshops in a neighbouring district?

Michael Condron is creating a brand new piece of public art which will be sited at the Renewable Energy Plant on Boston Road, Sleaford in February 2014.

As part of this exciting project, Michael Condron will be delivering FREE workshops exploring the processes that drive the power station.  Members of the public who attend the workshops will also be able to contribute to the final public artwork.

Condron will demonstrate how to create card sculptures based on the power station journey, from the farmers’ field to electricity.  The work created during these sessions will contribute to the final public artwork’s design. People can take their own work home at the end of the session.

The workshops will be held at The National Centre for Craft & Design, and are open to everyone.    They will be held on Thursday 30 Jan, Friday 31 Jan and Saturday 1 Feb 2014 at 10.30am-12.30pm, 1-3pm and 3.30-5.30pm. On Thursday there will also be an evening session from 6pm–8pm. The Saturday sessions are ideal for families, children and young people.
