Aged 11 to 25? Then read on!

Aged 11 to 25? Interested in the arts?

Then we would love for you to get involved with EMERGE, a unique opportunity to create your own arts festival in Boston next year. You will get to work with Charley Genever, a professional artist and poet, on fun weekly sessions which will develop the content of a new festival for Boston in April 2018 – and all created by you! The programme is funded by Spirit of 2012, and run by The Mighty Creatives in partnership with LOV and Transported.

Come along to a free taster session on Monday 23 October at Boston Stump between 11am and 1pm, and see if it’s for you. Weekly sessions then start after half term, every Thursday from 4 to 5.30pm.

Still not sure? Then here’s a few words from Charley: “I think people should get involved because I have first hand experience of the power that projects like Emerge can have. I’m a product of an opportunity just like this one, and I’m able to live a bit like a rock star with a wicked career and stand on stages across the country because I took a chance and applied for something aimed at young people. At the time I didn’t think I was good enough, and I didn’t know if it would be a cool experience or if it would lead anywhere, and I was curious and scared. Ultimately I just wanted to make some friends who were as creative as me. If this sounds like you, if you’re even reading this, then my guess is you’re curious enough to want to come along, so do it. The beautiful thing about the Emerge project is that we want you for you; your talents, your interests and your voice. Life is a stage anyway, I’m just here to put the stairs in and work the curtains.”
