Blackpool Peer Learning Event 15/16 October

The ‘Transported’ CP&P lead consortium are travelling to Blackpool to attend a Peer Learning Event with the other 6 successful regions.   It’s going to be a great opportunity to find out about the other projects as well as areas where we can all work together:

Aims

  • Inspiration and reflection– ensuring great art happens and raising ambitions, inspiring communities to take ownership
  • Information exchange – regarding evaluation, data collection and audience trends, commissioning artists etc.
  • Networking – consortia to meet each other, join up and learn from each other; establish the national peer support programme

Edward Andersson from Involve on methods of participatory decision making. Tom Andrews from People United on the successes and challenges of running community-focused arts initiatives that can bring about social change. Matt Adams from Blas Theory will talk about the company’s innovative digital participation projects

Anne Torreggiani and Helen Ball from The Audience Agency about current audience trends and how the Agency can support the places

Arts Council & consultant Scott Dickinson will lead a discussion on the evaluation plans for the whole programme and the involvement required from the places
