Artists cammdesign were commissioned last year to create a new piece of public art to be situated at RSPB Frampton Marsh, near Boston. The piece, called “Reflector”, will be revealed in a special celebration event in Spring 2015, which will also include pieces of art made in community activities running alongside the main project. If you want to get involved, you still can… Feather workshops are coming up with artist Julie Willoughby in March and all are welcome!
In the meantime, cammdesign are keeping a fascinating blog of the work’s progress, so keep tuned for updates!
Week 1
Last week we saw the delivery of all of the laser profiled stainless steel and we were able to make a material start on the fabrication of the first section of the reflector. We decided to start with a medium sized section (Section E), so that we could get a feeling for the handling of the materials and how the parts behaved during tacking and welding.
