cammdesign Reflector Blog 5

Artists cammdesign were commissioned last year to create a new piece of public art to be situated at RSPB Frampton Marsh, near Boston.  The piece, called “Reflector”, will be revealed in a special celebration event next month which will also include pieces of art made in community activities running alongside the main project.  If you want to get involved, you still can… Feather workshops are coming up with artist Julie Willoughby at Frampton Village Hall and Fenside Community Centre on 2 May & 16 May and all are welcome!

In the meantime, cammdesign are keeping a fascinating blog of the work’s progress… but this will be the last one we share before the great unveiling on 23 May as we don’t want to spoil the surprise!

Week 5

Attached are photos which show the steel structure complete from Section G at one end to section A at the other.

We have how started to concentrate on the internal support frames for the Cedar strips (see a template in final photo).

We have also started to think about the logistics of transportation to site and the process of installation.

Want to see the final piece? then come to our unveiling at RSPB Frampton Marsh on 23 May!
