Some exciting news today!
Transported has just begun to work with a variety of partners to bring Dance Factor to Boston Borough and South Holland in the future, and the project has just been announced as being shortlisted for £50,000 funding from ITV’s The People’s Millions TV Competition – one of only six groups!
Dance Factor takes dance into local communities, providing 11-18 years olds with free evening street dance sessions which culminate in a Grand Final showcase event. The People’s Millions funding would enable Dance Factor to span across seven districts of Lincolnshire and engage in excess of 750 young people in dance.
On Monday 24 November Dance Factor Lincolnshire will be profiled on the ITV South Yorkshire evening news and will compete head to head against another regional project, with the public voting by phone to decide who wins the funding. The phone number to vote is not released until the day, so until then, we need all the help we can get in making sure people know about Dance Factor Lincolnshire – and that Monday 24 November is D Day – DANCE FACTOR DAY!
How?
If you’re on Twitter, follow @Dance_Factor – there will be lots of tweets about #DanceFactor15 and every retweet counts (sorry Tesco).
We also have a little selfie campaign – we’d love to see your dance shot selfies, send them to @Dance_Factor with the hashtag #DFselfie – the best one will win a prize!
If you’re on Facebook, click here to like the page, and share the posts. Transported will be sharing them too!
