Emerge is happening this Saturday (21st April) at Thomas Middlecott Academy! Young people are leading and co-producing exciting entertainment that will celebrate the life and work of William Shakespeare. Local residents are invited to join the festival, ‘Random Acts of Shakespeare’, which will take place from 12pm – 5pm.
This brand new festival promises to transform the school into a perfect festival location, offering something for the whole family – performances, music and video DJing, dance, arts and crafts, and a film screening. All work showcased at the festival will have been created or produced by the young people involved in the project. ‘Random Acts of Shakespeare’ is one of twelve young people led festivals happening on the same day across East and West Midlands. Check out their Facebook page and Instagram account to see glimpses behind the scenes as they prepare for the big day!
The festival has been jointly produced by students at Thomas Middlecott Academy, Boston Young Carers, and artist director Charley Genever. It is delivered in partnership between Transported and Thomas Middlecott Academy, supported by The Mighty Creatives and the Emerge project. Emerge Boston has been made possible by Spirit of 2012.
Random Acts of Shakespeare will open the doors to Thomas Middlecott at 12pm. Free entry, no booking required!
