This Saturday 11th between 10am-1pm, Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, Transported and Electric Egg will be at the Spalding Market with free arts activities as part of the ARTeFACT project.

We’re ‘taking the museum into the town’ so come and find the stall where there will be a selection of artefacts from the Spalding Gentlemen’s Society’s Museum collection.

Have a look at the items, chat with the team who are keen to know how you respond to them and share any stories you might have. You’ll have the opportunity to take part in a free artist-led sketch session of the artefacts as well.

Your contributions will have an influence on an exciting new public art trail!

This engagement will inspire an exciting new permanent physical and animated arts trail that will connect the museum to other key and historic Spalding locations.

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
