ARTeFACT is an arts project which will result in an interactive arts trail across Spalding. The trail will be inspired by the museum collection of Spalding Gentlemen’s Society.

Spalding Gentlemen’s Society is one of the oldest learned societies in the United Kingdom. The Society is working with arts organisation Transported and artists Steven Hatton and Neil Baker of Electric Egg to share the collection with the wider public.

We’re visiting the marketplace, schools and holding this open day to give the public a chance to get creative and see some of our artefacts first hand. Your thoughts, responses and creativity will inspire and inform the artworks which will be installed in the Autumn.

Join us to take part and look around the collection at the open day.

Entry is free and there will be free arts activities such as cyanotype making.

Transported

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
