Come to Spalding Marketplace on July 25th and leave your mark on our Big Doodle Wall!
Share your memories, feelings, and thoughts about Spalding’s past, present, and future, and contribute your own river-themed drawings to our artwork. Join artist Emily Cartwright in this interactive event.
This session and artwork are part of our Spalding Reconnected: Riverwalk activities.
Spalding Reconnected: Historic Town & Riverside is an exciting new community Arts and Heritage project celebrating and promoting the unique history of Spalding’s town and riverside. It is made possible thanks to National Lottery Heritage Fund, South Holland District Council, Heritage Lincolnshire, Transported Arts, East Mercia Rivers Trust and Lincolnshire County Council, and will seek to create and promote several townscape and riverside improvements, together with future funding opportunities all based on Spalding’s heritage.
Transported is working with these partners to make sure creativity and heritage play a central part in the regeneration of the town, making it a nicer more interesting and fun place to be.
This activity is free to participate in, and there is no need to book. Drop by any time during the activity. The activity can be adapted for all ages, but we do require under 18s to be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Date: 25th July
Time: 9 am – 3 pm
