Children and adults will enjoy the exciting FREE activities at this summer’s Family Fun Fridays!

Experience Lincoln Community Gamelan

Have a go at playing a genuine Indonesian instrument and create an entrancing piece of music!

Gamelan Burung Api, or Firebird, came to Lincoln from Central Java, Indonesia fourteen years ago.  Today the twenty-piece collection of instruments is run by a community music group in the city.

Everybody is welcome to take part, regardless of musical experience; all that’s required is enthusiasm and commitment!

Come along and support a local voluntary group that has been running for over a decade!

Hundreds of people have been drawn in by the free, fun and inspiring performances and workshops in Boston Market Place since Family Fun Fridays were created in 2014.

The popular programme has been organised by Transported in partnership with Boston Borough Council to provide free activities to families during the school holidays.

Here are just a few of your lovely comments from last year’s Family Fun Fridays…

‘Thanks for providing these fun activities and events!’
‘Always excellent’
‘Thank you very much. I really enjoyed it – and my children did too! ‘
‘Everybody had a smile on their faces’

Family Fun Fridays are free for everyone. Any donations are welcome and will be used to support future Transported activities.
