Children and adults will enjoy the exciting FREE activities at this summer’s Family Fun Fridays!

How Time Flies!

How Time Flies is a brand new show inspired by the wonderful and intriguing world of archeology.  Join the eccentric team of archeologists in their interactive field tent, as they lead you through an exciting dig to find long lost artefacts.  Uncover hidden treasures and discover the stories they hold. Imagine a time gone by and historical figures of long ago, from the Vikings to the ancient Egyptians.

Silk Painting with Sue Rowland

Contribute to a beautiful silk painting with Sue Rowland. Sue’s recent silk painting workshops at Boston and Spalding libraries booked up quickly so we are happy to invite her back to work with the people of Boston to create a silk painting for Mayflower 2020.

Hundreds of people have been drawn in by the free, fun and inspiring performances and workshops in Boston Market Place since Family Fun Fridays were created in 2014.

The popular programme has been organised by Transported in partnership with Boston Borough Council to provide free activities to families during the school holidays.

Here are just a few of your lovely comments from last year’s Family Fun Fridays…

‘Thanks for providing these fun activities and events!’
‘Always excellent’
‘Thank you very much. I really enjoyed it – and my children did too! ‘
‘Everybody had a smile on their faces’

Family Fun Fridays are free for everyone. Any donations are welcome and will be used to support future Transported activities.

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
