The fox, the hare, the eel, the pike
South Holland bred in field and dyke
On fenland soil I trod my way
On fenland soil I lived my days

We want to hear your stories about where you live. What makes your area special to you? What are your most significant places? Who are the local characters? Do you know any local stories or legends? Do you know any local songs?

Historian and musician Danny Pedler will be touring South Holland with the mobile library in September playing folk songs and tunes from South Lincolnshire; he will be collecting your memories, anecdotes and tales from your local area which will go on to inspire future ‘Transported’ arts projects. For more details, please visit For more information contact Danny on 07598 212658 or email
