Drop in to this free lantern-making workshop with artist Kathleen Smith on Wed 17 Nov at Boston Guildhall.
Once again, Transported will be joining Boston Borough Council in illuminating Boston at the Christmas Light Switch On. However, like last year, we’re going to be lighting Boston not with our annual Illuminate Parade but with an enchanting trail of lanterns scattered around Boston Town Centre on Thursday 25th November during all the wonderful winter festivities.
The trail will be made of lanterns old and new made by artists and the community – and we want you to get involved in this year’s lantern making! You can create a lantern at home using this downloadable toolkit and dropping your lantern off to us (details in the kit).
You can also take part by joining artist Kathleen Smith at a free workshop at the Guildhall where materials will be provided! You’ll be creating tissue paper and flower style lanterns for this beautiful trail.
The session is drop-in, so no need to book! Just pop by between 11am-3pm. We do ask to wear face masks where possible and to wash your hands regularly.
