There are lots of ways to get involved in this years Illuminate’s events, including these origami workshops with artist Emily Cartwright.
In the free drop-in activity, you can choose from two designs per session, one not too tricky and one to challenge yourself with. Emily will guide you through how to fold the provided materials into sweet little shapes inspired by this year’s festival theme; Transported’s 10th anniversary. Some of the shapes will nod to previous Transported projects, like the Art on Lorries.
Make as many as you like, and you can take one and donate one too. Any left with us will be distributed out to the crowd that come to see the Boston T Party Illuminate Parade.
If you’re in a rush, don’t worry, we suggest 10 minutes per design, so spend as long as you wish us or drop by for a quick tutorial.
