Transported have partnered with the Spalding and District Civic Society to commission a piece of public art inspired by Spalding’s market history. This will be the first of a series of public art pieces located in the Spalding town centre. We’ve shortlisted five artists to create maquettes, or small-scale models, of their proposed works. The artists are:

Richard Janes

Michael Disley

Stephen Tomlinson

Joseph Hillier

Alan Potter

Have a look at the maquettes and decide which one you think we should choose! They will be on tour at the following locations:

16 – 17 April Spalding High School

18 April Spalding Market

19 April Ayscoughfee Hall

20 April Gleed School

21 April Spalding Market

22 April South Holland Centre, from 5:30pm

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
