Artist Chris Lewis-Jones will be heading out into Spalding where you can have a free taster of creating frottage art.
FenFrott is an project created to keep the public entertained whilst under the Covid-19 social distancing restrictions and is part of the CREATE-on Programme.
Participants are invited to create frottage drawings (rubbing drawings) from three rooms of their homes. They can then post their frotts in a Facebook group for other members to try to figure out the location of the exercise.
We appreciate that everyone might not have the tools to create frotts at home or might not be quite sure how to do it, but you can come at have a go at the Transported gazebo! Chris will be in Spalding Town Centre on Tuesday 23rd June between 10am and 3pm.
Chris will demonstrate the techniques with square frottage paper and materials, and participants will be free to use long lengths of poster paper if they so choose to create their own pieces.
If you can’t come in person, don’t worry. Chris is delivering arttakeaways (pizza boxes full of frottage art materials) straight to your door on Thursday 25th June. To arrange your delivery, ring 07877 989213.
Please note: We have put in place appropriate measures to ensure social distancing and sanitisation in accordance with government guidelines.
