Following on from feedback gathered at events at the end of last year, Transported is delighted to offer a series of subsidised Taster sessions in a variety of art forms this Spring.  They are ideal opportunities to have a go at something new or to develop an existing interest, at a cost of only £3.50 per session.

Stained Glass with Gillian Wing from Strawberry Glass

Enjoy this practical workshop exploring the skills of stained glass copper foiling. The technique was developed in the Tiffany Studios and copper tape and solder are used to make the seam joining the pieces of glass. You will work in a relaxed environment with plenty of individual attention and there will be a large selection of coloured and textured glass to choose from.  At the end of the course you will take your handmade piece home with you to display.

Maximum 10 per session. Participants need a shoe box for work. Health & Safety advice: no loose clothes, no open footwear, tie back long hair, no jewellery that could get caught.  Make sure to book your place early by emailing Grace or Lauren on or, or calling the Transported office on 01406 701006.

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
