Tonic Tasters is a partnership project between Tonic Health and Transported. The partnership is extremely grateful to the NHS Managed Care Network for funding this project.

The project started in May 2021 with 2 of the community groups run by local organisation Tonic Health, the Spalding Safe Places Group and the Surfleet Dementia Group.

A series of creative taster sessions were run with the groups from May – September 2021, where participants got to try some never-before-tried art forms which included:

  • Fantastical Creatures (art from nature) with Mark Steadman;
  • Mixed Media with Faye Parker and Ellie Benton;
  • Print Making with Louise Stebbing;
  • Pottery with Mark and Jo from Greenfield Pottery.

Following on from the tasters, the groups did a more in-depth 10-week pottery course from November – January with the aim of putting on an exhibition.

Please enjoy just some of the delightful objects which the groups made during that time.

A very big thank you to Spalding Library for hosting the exhibition.
