Food makes us; what we eat is who we are.
The foods of our homes hold our history and our journeys; they carry our memories.
This event has now been cancelled, however, we are still looking for contributions via digital submission!
As part of Transported’s Mayflower 400 inspired programme, Transported are working with Writing East Midlands to commission artist and artisan baker Sonya Hundal of Greenfield Bakers to create a piece for a Pilgrim-themed periodical.

Baker Sonya Hundal at Greenfield Bakers, Friskney

Bostonians are invited to email a recipe (and a picture of the finished product!) and share it’s significance to them. This could be a story of it’s invention, it’s link to heritage or home or simply it’s importance,  all to be used to create a piece in the publication.
Please send your food story via email to Sonya Hundal on

Transported is a strategic, community-focused programme which aims to get more people in Boston Borough and South Holland enjoying and participating in arts activities.  The programme is overseen by the Centre of Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln, and is funded by the Creative People and Places fund from Arts Council England.
