Throughout January and February in 2019, Transported alongside Boston Guildhall hosted three courses of workshops to celebrate Boston’s history and heritage.
The workshops taught participants skills in illustration, pottery and lino-printing respectively, each lead by an expert in the craft; Aga Kowalska, Kate McBride and Mark Steadman.
The sessions took inspiration from their surroundings in the Guildhall and the Luttrell Psalter; a 14th Century illustrated book that depicts Lincolnshire life.
The beautiful work the participants created were put on display in the Guildhall until 20th April 2019. The project took part of the ‘Boston Almanac’; a series of creative events to celebrate Boston’s rich history.
