New Year – New Dancing Shoes!

Transported is working with a variety of partners to bring street dance sessions to Boston Borough & South Holland.  The sessions are part of the legacy of Dance Factor Lincolnshire 2015, a large scale project which provided 10 weeks of free street dance sessions for young people across the region last year. The project culminated with a Grand Final in Lincoln in May 2015, with the winning groups going on to perform at Lincoln Castle’s Magna Party.

The Dance Factor Party 2016 will be a celebration of all the groups that have continued running since the competition. New young people are being encouraged to join the sessions for their chance to perform at The Dance Factor Party 2016, taking place at The Embassy Theatre, Skegness on Saturday 27 February 2016.

Amy Dalton, committee member of community group InspireDance, who is leading the project said:

“I am really pleased that we are able to continue the legacy of Dance Factor Lincolnshire 2015 thanks to funding from Trusthouse Charitable Foundation and other regional partners. It was fantastic to see the benefits to hundreds of young people across Lincolnshire that Dance Factor Lincolnshire provided. Dance Factor Party 2016 will give those who took part in the competition, as well as a whole new group of young people the opportunity to engage in a positive and creative form of physical activity and to celebrate their fantastic achievements in a fun, party style event this February.”
