Development Talks Announced

Transported has organised the first of a series of development talks as part of our ongoing Quality and Innovation Programme, which will run alongside our arts activity and programming in order to keep Quality and Innovation at the forefront of what we do and put Transported in a wider context.

These talks are open to all and will be of particular interest to anyone following the Public Art, Past Inspired and On Your Doorstep strands of our current programme.  It is free to attend.

The first talk is by professional artist Jo Coupe, which will take place at Ayscoughfee Hall, Spalding from 2.00-3.00pm on Thursday 27 March 2014 and also at Fydell House, Boston from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

Jo’s work for heritage sites has included temporary commissions ‘Rarefied’ for Tatton Park Biennial 2008, ‘Deep Impression’ for Chelsea Physic Garden in 2012 and most recently ‘Give and Take’ as part of ‘Building Dreams’ at Cragside, Northumberland in 2013. She will discuss what’s involved in partnering arts and heritage, what makes it valuable and what to consider when working on collaborative projects.

Places are limited so please RSVP to TransportedElizabeth@litc.org.uk or call 07747 271825 by Wednesday 26 March.

The second talk is by professional sculptor Michael Condron. This will take place at The Red Lion Quarter, Boston College, Spalding on Tuesday 1 April 2014 from 10.30-12.30pm.

Michael is currently working on the Eco2 artsNK project at the Power Station in Sleaford. We have asked Michael to share his experience of undertaking a large Public Art commission of an exceptionally high standard as well as his experience in the public art sector to date. This will also be an informal space for you to come and talk to Michael about his experience and what he has learnt on his journey and share your ideas about Public Art as well as any other questions you may have.

Places are limited so please RSVP to TransportedNatalie@litc.org.uk or call 07747 271823 by Monday 31 March.
