Pestiferous Theatre present… The Librarians!

Librarians 1 053

Transported is delighted to be bringing Pestiferous Theatre back to the area next week for a week long tour of eight local libraries, as part of its Open Book strand of activity in libraries.  Pestiferous were one of the 25 artists and companies chosen to deliver the initial consultation phase and presented ‘The Nerdy Birdies’… and next week they will morph into ‘The Librarians’…

Shhhhh! Something unusual is happening in your local library…

Lose yourself in a fictional frenzy of paperback puppetry,

Scale the shelves with a chorus of thesaurus,

Discover dance in the romance and mime in the crime (section).

See your library like never before with our contrarian librarians!

They’re certainly not bookish!

Emerging dance-theatre company Pestiferous create new performances that are funny, interactive, playful and gently subversive. It brings audiences and performers together – from all walks of life and in everyday spaces – for unique experiences that are uplifting, surreal, curious and joyful.

Performances will take place at the following libraries:

Monday 9 September Crowland Library 11am, Holbeach Library 2.30pm and 4.30pm
Tuesday 10 September Spalding Library 10.30am, 2.30pm
Wednesday 11 September Boston Library 11am, 2.30pm
Thursday 12 September Pinchbeck Library 11am, Kirton Library 1.30pm and 3.30pm
Friday 13 September Long Sutton Library 10.30am, Donington Library 2pm and 4pm
