The Transported Aerial team run a number of workshops across Lincolnshire.
In Aerial Dance, the performer is suspended from a height and performs using equipment such as hoops and silks. The style requires great control, core muscle strength and flexibility.
The sessions cover a variety of skills including Aerial hoop and silks classes, Tippy hoop workshops, Strength and flexibility classes. Working on mounting, dismounting, climbing and poses, these classes will ensure you get fit, confident, strong and flexible.
Regular classes currently take place during the week at the Peter Paine Centre in Boston.
The programme is open to multiple ages and welcomes everyone. We highlight the students’ work and talent in annual showcase and at performances at local events across the year. The programme has a training scheme for participants to become aerial tutors and enters in the UK Aerial Performance Championships.
The programme has a high standard for safety, and also puts on stretch and strength classes and during the pandemic obtained funding for mental health support for the participants.
The teaching team attend as much external training as they can and often have interest in other circus performance skills which help benefit and progress the Transported programme.
We pride ourselves in having highly-qualified and award-winning tutors who understand that safety is paramount in classes, where we use the best equipment available.
