Working with the private sector to develop innovative projects that increase engagement in quality arts activity at the same time as contributing to employee morale, staff retention and recruitment

Elsoms Seeds

Transported recently worked on a metalwork project with Elsoms colleagues and artist Kathleen Smith, to complete a new piece of art for the Elsoms’ reception area.

FreshLinc

The second ‘Art on Lorries’ project, Fenland Folk, celebrated people and events from the area, designed by Electric Egg. Each inspiration for the design was chosen by a FreshLinc employee who has been depicted on the rear of the respective trailer explaining why they chose the person or subject.

Spotter’s Guides

We often get told that the lorries have been spotted, so much so that we developed a spotter’s guide! Download them below:

Elsoms Seeds

Transported commissioned dance and music company Assault Events to work with Elsoms Seeds in Spalding in 2014 to create a new and exciting site responsive performance piece about Elsoms and those who work there. The 30-minute piece was devised in collaboration with colleagues at Elsoms as part of a six week residency and reflects the history, people and work of the company. Movement and sound has been created from material found on site and from Elsoms colleagues who have shared their stories and experiences. This new piece was premiered at the opening of Elsoms’ new warehouse on 11th September 2014.

This was followed by a photography project with artists Steven Hatton and Katie Smith, working with colleagues on their photography skills and culminating in an onsite photography exhibition.

FreshLinc

As part of our ongoing partnership with FreshLinc, designed wraps on their lorries put art on a moveable canvas that reaches not only those in Lincolnshire, but beyond to Europe.  They also celebrate our local area and what makes it special, in another recurrent theme of the Transported programme as a whole.  The first ‘Art on Lorries’ project, Lincolnshire Loveliness, by artist Alisha Miller was completed and the final ten FreshLinc lorry designs were unveiled in April 2015, after a parliamentary launch of the first lorry in July 2014.  The drivers also worked on a project with artist Katie Smith called “The View From Here”.
