For our first commission, Transported is working in partnership with the RSPB at Frampton Marsh to create a singular or set of interventions of sculptural structures to be sited in the Boston Borough based nature reserve. The feature(s) will enhance the experience for existing and new visitors, bird watchers and local people (including families) of South Holland and Boston Borough enabling them to appreciate this special landscape (including The Wash if possible) and beyond, or they may be designed interventions for the landscape. The six artists shortlisted for interviews (which take place on 5 June 2014) are:
- Martin Heron
- Craig & Mary Matthews
- Jony Easterby
- Anna Heinrich & Leon Palmer
- Beth Derbyshire
- MSA Gruff – Matthew Springett & Rhys Cannon
There is a special event taking place at RSPB Frampton Marsh on Wednesday 11 June where the marquettes and designs of the shortlisted artists will be on display along with the final design and information about the chosen artist. If you would like to attend, please contact Natalie Duffield-Moore on 07747 271823 or by emailing TransportedNatalie@litc.org.uk.
