We’re delighted and grateful to ASDA Boston’s ASDA Foundation who have awarded local group Steps to the Future with £995.
The group brings activities to its members who might otherwise feel lonely or isolated due to poor health.
The funding will be used to purchase mosaic boards and tiles, clay, cement, tools, four professional artist led sessions and reference books that the group can keep as future project resources.
The initiative will support our Boston School of Mosaic’s project to develop a creative work to be displayed in Dolphin Lane to enhance the centre of Boston.
The project is a partnership project by Transported, Boston Townscape Heritage Project and Heritage Lincolnshire and is funded thanks to Arts Council England, Boston Borough Council and National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Our wonderful Programme Manager Rachel attended the cheque presentation on Thursday at the Dolphin Lane artwork site along with Tracey Shaw from Steps to the Future, Stephen Bromby from Asda Community Champion, and the project’s lead artist Karen Francesca.
