Transported Live Artists Announced!

Transported is delighted to announce the artists and companies that have been commissioned as part of our Transported Live strand, bringing quality live performances to locations in Boston Borough and South Holland.

Assault Events

Assault Events is a creative arts company producing exciting and inspiring arts events for a range of venues, audiences, participants and partners.  The company will be working closely with local people to gather stories about their lives, their work and their communities to create a new piece combining dance, music and theatre.

Strangeface Theatre Company

Strangeface are a prestigious mask and puppet theatre company commissioned to create ‘Fen Boy’, a story based on Lincolnshire’s principle themes of agriculture, horticulture and food processing. Using specially commissioned music, the piece will be suitable for all the family and will be performed using a haulage trailer as a stage and will travel from community to community in South Holland and Boston Borough over a period of five days.

Rhubarb Theatre Company

Rhubarb Theatre are a local theatre company based in North Kesteven dedicated to creating visually imaginative and gloriously inventive new theatre. We are working closely with Rhubarb to commission ‘The Case of the Curious Suitcase’, a performance with three travellers and a live musician that meet at one place and tell their story through mine, street theatre and puppetry. This is a fun, energetic and high quality piece that will be performed at three community events across South Holland and Boston Borough.

Zest Theatre

Zest Theatre are a local theatre company based in Lincoln. Their work is inspired by the needs, lives and imaginations of those under the age of twenty five. We have commissioned Zest to deliver a project called ‘Boy meets Girl’ which will be performed in five market places across South Holland and Boston Borough over a period of four days. The performance will involve headsets that will lead the audience members through the market square allowing them to interact with either character for as long or a little as they so wish.
