Warning – Artist at Work!

You may have spotted us out and about this week with our pop up tent and Artist at Work signs, launching our On Your Doorstep strand with the help of Caricature Artist Chris Ryder!

As part of our Consultation process last year, we asked lots of residents what they thought was important about Boston Borough and South Holland, and they told us they want to improve public spaces and community spirit, so we want to help make this happen as part of our On Your Doorstep strand.

Transported are inviting you to nominate a space in your neighbourhood that you feel needs a bit of care and attention.  We will then give you the chance to go and see some amazing examples of public art so you can be inspired to see the potential of your space and come up with some ideas – and if your project is chosen, Transported will work with an artist and you to make it happen.  We have £25,000 funding for some initial pilot schemes across the Boston Borough and South Holland Districts.

The aim of ‘On Your Doorstep’ is to leave a lasting legacy of not only art within the community, but also community spirit, projects coming together because of the community – and we would really like you to be involved.
